Chuck Grassley Just Doesn't Get It.

Iowa Republican Chuck Grassley is dead-set against a public option and is the ranking GOP member of the Senate Finance Committee. He is ignoring the views of an overwhelming majority of Americans, not to mention his own fellow Iowans.
Hey, Democrats: screw bipartisanship! Republicans will never work with you; why worry about them?
We want a public option, and--if necessary--we want you to use the budget reconciliation process to ram it through!

BTW: Grassley is squarely in the pocket of the health insurance and HMO lobbies--receiving the sixth-most money among U.S. Senators. These groups are vehemently opposed to changing the status quo and are fighting tooth-and-nail against reform, especially a public option.

"Senator Brown" won on > No public option.
The longer it goes, the more people learn about it the more they reject "the public option". It isn't working in Boston and they reject it. Get real here my friend.

If the Dems who won by hanging on to Obama's coattails don't start supporting him - thereby making the remaining senators and representatives irrelevant, the should all be replaced in their next elections.

Who the hell cares what Grassley says? It's time to get things done, and screw the whole bipartisan crap. It was tried. It failed.

If Rahm was right in saying they may give in on the public option, we should run them out of town!

HVCC & AMCs..... Do you need a loan???

The Hvcc law was instituted to protect home owners/buyers/sellers...
Now, you get to pay extra for a loan because of an extra layer of BS. And, you are paying more for the privilege of having your loan officer not in the loop in reference to your loan (purchases/refis/helocs)... You must prepay for an appraisal which is jobbed out to anyone who is willing to work for less so a group of unknowns can keep most of your appraisal fee.
Actually, the HVCC is a sneaky way for big banks to extract extra fees from the public because they own the AMCs!!!
NOW, how does that help you acquire a equitable loan?

The Economy... the role of housing

A huge portion of the United States economy is driven by the housing market & its related industries.
If the government actually wanted to stimulate the economy; it would stop giving money to banks who refuse to loan to developers & builders - let alone home owners and buyers. Put a cap on interest rates charged by banks receiving hand-outs; and, put a cap on usery rates charged by credit card companies.
And, if they want to bitch, let them!
Make the funds available in a national bank owned by the US Government to home owners/developers/builders @ a nominal interest rate... Washington could fund all programs if we were loaning our money & keeping our profit instead of paying it out to the SOBs who keep screwing us.
Then nationalize the federal reserve.
Take the job of printing money back & make it a government run entity! Stop paying private banks interest on our money!

Health Insurance Coverage................

It seems like there are more than just a few congresspeople & senators who are against health care insurance coverage for all Americans. Maybe, when the bill finally passes (and it WILL pass); we should put all of the congress & senate members who are not for passing the bill into their own special NON PUBLIC insurance plan and let them pay for coverage like we have to NOW!! They should be excluded from the new public/private insurance; and, made to fend for themselves. Wait until you hear them scream about descrimination. To hear them bitch about how unaffordable, non-portable, lacking coverage, dehumanizing their "private" insurance is would be sweet music........

I think this would be a very crucial group as Glenn Beck has admitted and displayed openly and unashamedly his disregard for the facts and the facade of merely being a commentator who nonetheless has a very real impact on that lunatic fringe in America that takes his wild, reckless and totally delusional babbling as gospel. He is a dangerous man...because he tells sane people he's just an entertaining commentator, but tells his ardent followers that he's a hardcore, serious patriot with only the interest of America at heart. The man is a LIAR, and a hypocrite, delusional, and he quite possibly suffers from some form of hypo-mania and/or ADHD like mental illness that is going untreated and yet he is given a sounding board on Fox to incite and inspire violence and random hate mongering without accountability to anyone, not even himself. He needs to be taken off the air immediately.

I'm so glad he has lost so many sponsors, but unfortunately most of the sponsors simply avoid his show's time slot and still advertise on Fox merely because of it's overall high ratings, while totally disregarding the moral and ethical implications of supporting a cable station that is so blatantly racist, hateful and a definite instigator of terrorist activities.

May his career in broadcasting come to a quick and timely end; and may his many foolish herd-like followers have a chance to reflect on the insanity of ascribing to the belief systems (plural and often contradicting) he espouses, that they may hopefully refrain from doing this country more damage from within than it could ever receive from without.
