I'm a very old person.  Although I was a child at the time I actually remember the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.  I remember World War Two-the air raid warnings, the rationing, and no toys for children because of the war effort.  The mood of the country was far different than any younger person can now imagine and none of the wars since have cost or scared civilians like that one did.  Older friends that I admired and some of my relatives joined the service.  All of them survived the war--although one of them went through an infamous Nazi Death March after his bomber was shot down over Germany.  We were lucky but we had neighbors who lost loved ones!  A couple of my friends returned "shell-shocked" and psychologically impaired-it was a mean and terrible time-as of course, all wars are.

I was much older by the end of the war and I especially remember the Nuremberg trials where we brought Fascist War Criminals to justice.  This youthful view of history gave me a unique perspective that most folks just don't have today: "All these poor vicious Nazis War Criminals were doing was just following orders!"  And what amazes me now is hearing the same excuses, almost the same translated Fascist words, coming out of former Vice-President's Cheney's mouth!  

Has anyone rolled up his sleeves to see if he has swastika tattoos on his arms?  So, let's not tell him to shut the hell up!  Let him ramble on, showing his true colors and exposing his cohorts and his followers' real political signature.  Sig Heil Mine Furious!
